Joint Composition | Sound Folly

The folly design considers the abstract nature of music and seeks to remove visual associations that influence comprehension of sound, allowing for an unobstructed experience. It is in this removed space that the boundaries of the city and of nature become unclear, and the sensations, functions and sounds of both come into accord.

Sound is communication and it is music, but it is also an indication of place, a specific location in space and time. There are certain forms that are associated with sound such as musical instruments and communication devices. One of the most recognizable forms is that of a horn, which is the form that can be seen in this design.
